Slovenia
Slovenia is a beautiful unspoilt country in central Europe and is part of the EU. Half the size of Switzerland, it is predominantly mountainous, and with more than half its area covered by forest, it is a wild and beautiful country where the tall jagged mountains of the Julien Alps overlook tranquil lakes and spectacular waterfalls. There is a wealth of wildlife with the meadows and farmland still benefiting from traditional farming methods. Wild boar, chamois, brown bear, wolves, lynx and deer still roam the forests.
