| Getting there Driving Flying There are a number of budget airline routes, with flight times around 2 hours (see map below).
www.viamichelin.com/viamichelin/int/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm can be used to estimate the distance and time to Bovec (see map below) although we have found the times to be different (for example Ronchi to Bovec takes us about 1hr20 and Brnik to Bovec about 2hrs). Our preferred favourite transfer is from Ronchi (Trieste) Airport as this is a short, and pleasant drive to Bovec (there are no border controls with neighbouring EU countries). For some routes in the winter, you will need to check that the mountain pass is open (e.g. Vrsic Pass and Predel Pass). | |
